The namesake of our debut collection, Leonora captures the essence of Studio Binat: a bridge between Michoacán’s artisanal heritage and New York’s contemporary edge.
Inspired by the piñas of San José de Gracia, originally named after pinecones (not pineapples) , this piece reinterprets tradition through a modern lens. The form blends sharply faceted red scales with hand-built black DETAILS, honoring classic motifs while pushing their evolution forward.
It is both homage and evolution. A vessel and a sculpture.
Leonora holds the memory of centuries-old ceramic techniques while pointing toward something entirely new. It is what Studio Binat stands for: a conversation across time, space, and culture.
